Almond Street Project Update

Just a quick update to everyone regarding the status of the Almond Street Development being proposed by Garbett Homes.  Many of you may recall that Garbett presented to our Council in December, 2013.  There was also a neighbors meeting with Garbett in February, 2014.

The proposal is now before the City Council with the following meetings scheduled:

City Council Public Hearing …. May 6, 2104, 7:00 p.m., City and County Building, 4th Floor.  This is a public hearing where the public may come and comment on the proposed development.  If you have comments, concerns or suggestions regarding the development, you may address the City Council for two minutes during the public hearing period.

City Council Potential Vote …. May 20, 2014, 7:00 p.m., City and County Building, 4th Floor.  The City Council, depending on public input, may take a vote on the Garbett proposal at this meeting.

The Council staff report can be reviewed by going to slccouncil.com/agenda/ and clicking on the May 6, 2014 agenda …. then clicking on the 289 Almond Street heading under the Public Hearing.

If you cannot attend and would still like to make a comment, it is best to send a comment directly to our City Councilmember, Stan Penfold, at stan.penfold@slcgov.com.  You can also call 801-535-7600 and direct your comments or questions to City Council staff.

Thanks.
