Spring Fire Prevention Tips:
Your local Fire Dept recommends these spring-cleaning tips to keep you and your home safe this spring:

  1. Keep stairs, landings, and walkways clear of boxes, bags and other clutter.
  2. Properly dispose of old paints, fertilizers, and other chemicals.
  3. Clean out your chimneys and gutters to help reduce the risk of fire as well as carbon monoxide buildup.
  4. Check and replace batteries in your smoke & carbon monoxide detectors.
  5. Open the windows when you commit to cleaning for the day. Its likely fumes from cleaning products can overwhelm your space and create a toxic atmosphere.
