The northbound Beck Street on-ramp to I-15 will undergo major bridge deck rehabilitation to lengthen the life of the structure.
When construction is underway, the left-most northbound travel lane will be closed as you approach the Beck Street on-ramp to I-15. This allows crews to perform their work safely behind temporary barriers.
Due to the narrow work area the project will be completed in three phases:
- Phase I – west shoulder of bridge (11′ on-ramp lane open)
- Phase II – east shoulder of bridge (11′ on-ramp lane open)
- Phase III – full closure of on-ramp (approximately three weeks)
We recommend travelers allow extra time to reach their destinations and/or consider using
alternate routes. Alternate routes include 600 North to I-15, 400 South to I-15, or continue north on Beck Street to US-89. Please follow posted detours.
Additionally, crews will temporarily CLOSE the northbound off-ramp from I-15 to US-89.
- Wednesday, March 15 at 9 p.m. The off-ramp will reopen Thursday morning, March 16, at 8 a.m.
This closure will allow for removal of aging bridge elements.
All phases of the project will be completed by mid-summer. During construction, motorists are reminded to slow down. Not only is it required by law, it helps save lives.
We appreciate your patience during construction.

Do I assume that the Beck Street construction will allow for access to 89 going north or going south?
