State Street Waterline

Project Overview

Starting Monday April 25, Salt Lake City Public Utilities will replace the existing water main on State Street between 1st Avenue and 200 North in Salt Lake City.

This key public Utility is 100 years old and needs to be replaced to enhance the infrastructure for downtown growth. Crews will also be performing sewer line work at various locations on 200 North and Hillside Avenue.

Work will include installation of new waterlines, replacement of existing residential water meters, and sewer rehabilitation work. These efforts will require significant impacts to nearby residents, businesses, and the traveling public.

Work will begin as early as Monday, April 25, with anticipated completion in August 2022. Traffic impacts will start immediately. Drivers should avoid the area whenever possible.
